Corinth began in 1854 as Cross City. It’s proximity to the Tennessee River and the railroads made it of great strategic value during the Civil War. The Battle of Corinth was fought October 3-4, 1862. With the railroads, Corinth played a huge role in the Battle of Shiloh, which was a turning point in the war. Complemented with a peaceful and natural landscape, Corinth, Mississippi is nestled in the rolling foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
